Sunday worship time change
Worship service time at Grace will change from 10 to 10:30 am on Aug. 9. Here is a message from Pastor Ann:
I have been so grateful for your graciousness in sharing me with Algonac in their time of need and transition. The season of uncertainty and change continues for them and will likely continue for some time, perhaps even into the first quarter of 2027. You can imagine this is very distressing for them as a congregation. As such, the district has asked us to continue to live into our values of abundant generosity and inclusive hospitality by continuing our commitment of invitation and pastoral care and guidance. What does this mean? It means that until further notice, we will continue to invite the members of Trinity to participate in the studies, ministries and missions we are doing at Grace. Further, we will seek to help where we can in the ministries they currently have (thrift shop and food pantry).
I have agreed to continue preaching and performing the sacraments there, as well as providing pastoral care as needed. They have changed their worship time to accommodate me in this new engagement. In consideration of my wellbeing, both from stress and road conditions I am likely to face, the Grace Vision Team has voted to change our worship time as well, pushing it back to 10:30 am. We feel this will be plenty of time to ensure a safe travel experience and avoid the feeling that I am always "coming in hot." I feel it will also provide blessings for Grace church we have yet to see.

Corned beef dinner hosted in March by the United Methodist Men
The Easter EGG-stravaganza featured an egg hunt, games, crafts, snacks and learning time for the children of Grace.
Honoring MLK
The Greater Detroit District of the United Methodist Church presents, “Continuing the Dream,” the 30th Celebration Honoring Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Hosted by Royal Oak First UMC. You’re invited to attend on Sunday, January 14, Reception at 2:30 p.m. and Service at 3:30. Bring a NEW Children's book geared for Kindergarten-3rd grade as a way to honor Dr. King's legacy. We will carpool from Grace.
